• Let them be inspired by nature. Children usually love to draw things from nature such as flowers and animals. You can boost their creative side by challenging them to draw an animal in the most unusual way so they can think out of the box.
• Invent stories, and ask them to draw the characters. Invent a story where you do not describe the characters too much. While the children are listening to the story, they will have already created their own mental images of the characters. When you have finished telling the story, ask them to draw the characters.
• Take advantage of special holidays or events. Ask the children to draw drawings of local holidays or special events so you can find out how they see them.

• Comics. Ask them to tell a story through drawings. Comics are an excellent tool that can foster creativity and boost their storytelling skills.
• Draw and play as a family. Time with the family stimulates children’s creativity. Likewise, play helps to improve family dynamics, while strengthening the family bond. For example, you can play Draw & Guess, which is a game where one team draws a random word that the other team has to guess.
