My Baby Cries All The Time: Why Is That?

How many times have you asked yourself why your baby cries all the time and why he or she will not stop without you knowing what to do to calm him / her down? It is without a doubt a very frustrating and stressful situation, especially because you know your baby needs something but you do not know how to help him / her.
My baby cries all the time: Why is that?

Many parents become desperate when their baby cries all the time. And they rarely know what to do. In this article, we will help you solve the problem.

Crying is the baby’s way of expressing himself. But when the crying is constant, it goes beyond our limits of patience.

My baby cries all the time: Is this normal?

When a baby cries all the time, it can really knock knots in one’s tummy and become our worst nightmare. It keeps us from enjoying being parents. You’ve probably heard some people say, “I can’t sleep because my baby cries all the time,” while looking tired and sour.

Besides that, you might see that they have given up completely, as they probably think that babies should cry, that it is completely normal.

While it is true that babies cry to communicate their needs and feelings, it is not true that it should happen constantly throughout the day.

When is it understandable and when is it too much? Not all babies are the same; you probably already know that. You also need to keep in mind that newborns tend to cry more. Everything is new to them and they do not understand their body or emotions yet.

Reasons why your baby cries all the time

To solve this problem, the first step is to find the reason why your baby is crying all the time. One of the most common causes is colic, which occurs during the first few months.

Colic includes a number of symptoms such as abdominal pain, flatulence, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation. It can be terribly uncomfortable for the baby.

Babies also cry if they are very hungry. Maybe breast milk is not enough to satisfy them, and maybe they should then have breast milk substitute. Ask your pediatrician for advice on this.

Another reason your baby cries all the time is that he or she may be hypersensitive to high temperatures or his or her clothes may be too tight. Maybe he / she can not stand if the diaper is wet, or he or she may be tired and unable to sleep properly.

Did you know that some babies can get nervous in environments that do not give them the peace of mind they need? It tends to be the main reason for their intense crying.

In that case, you can resort to soothing music for babies or go for a walk with the baby in the stroller.  An environmental change can reduce stress and the accumulation of anxiety.

My baby will not stop crying and I can not make him relax!

It is a common problem, especially for first-time parents. As a rule, they do not know how to stop their baby crying. And that, of course, scares them.

What they do not know is that their anxiety and fear are passed on to the baby; and maybe that’s why none of their techniques work.

So the very first thing to do is to relax. Use meditation or breathing exercises if necessary. Take a walk alone, drink some tea and take a nap.

Parents with crying baby

When you are calm again, you can take the baby in your arms and hold him against your chest so that the baby can feel the heartbeat of father or mother.

Some people recommend that you take the sweater off for this, as skin contact between child and parents is of great importance. Furthermore, lullabies, gentle songs and caresses can help in a big way.

Another option is to hold the baby so that he “sits” in your one hand and then hug him with the other hand. It is a so-called “The Hold” technique, which was introduced by an American doctor.

Hold the baby against your chest with one hand at an angle of approx. 45 degrees. Make sure the baby’s head is not leaning too far forward.

Then rock the baby back and forth and move his hips in a soft circle. Then you will see him calm down in no time!

If you have ever experienced your baby crying all the time, then we would recommend that you make use of these techniques. However, you need to make sure that there is nothing medically wrong with your baby!

Your pediatrician will help you if you are a first-time parent and you do not know what to do. Do not be afraid to ask!
