Mom, This Is What I Want To Learn From You

Mom, I want to thank you with all my heart, for everything you do for me. You care about my future and that’s why you’re so involved in my schooling. And you invest money in activities that will give me the best opportunities ever. But right now is not the time to worry about competition in the job market. It has nothing to do with what I really want to learn from you, Mom .

You are without a doubt the best mother I could ask for. I’m so thankful I got the best mom on the planet. But there is something you need to keep in mind. My childhood does not last forever. It is a brief moment that is so unique and special. And when it’s over, there’s no going back.

So in some ways I feel a little pressured. Sometimes it seems like you are demanding too much when it comes to academic learning. So let me make something clear: the academic is not the only thing that matters when it comes to my education and development.

You must not be offended. I just want you to know how I feel and think about my preparations. My humble opinion is that you overlook the most important part of growing up. You must, of course, think of my future. But you must not forget my present in the meantime. 

What I really want to know can only be learned by your side, Mom!

Mom, there is so much I want to learn from you. And the best part is, I’m allowed to appreciate it all by your side. All I have to do is spend time with you. Observe your behavior and the choices you make every day. You’re the best example I can follow. You’re my biggest role model.

I just want to learn to be a good person. I hope that in the future I will be someone who is thoughtful, generous and compassionate. Just like you. That’s what my heart desires. I want the same sense of responsibility as you, and your sincerity, so that I can face all the events of my life.

Mom, you are self-employed, an entrepreneur, autonomous and happy. You are the most magical and brilliant person I have ever met. And I want to be like you. I dream of having the same positive and innovative mind. I want to inherit the optimism that you use to take on the challenges of life.

In the same way, I admire your patience, perseverance, perseverance and perseverance. I want the same qualities. It will not matter what life offers me. What matters is my noble soul and a good heart. And those are things that are not learned in school. Only you can leave me that legacy. And you do it every day without knowing it.

Determination. It’s the world! The ability to embrace my passions and pursue my dreams, even if they seem crazy or impossible. As you always say: “we deserve to have our wishes come true.” You teach me to believe that I deserve beautiful miracles, and I know I’m going to witness them.

What I want to learn from you cannot be learned in the classroom

What I want to learn, they do not learn about in schools. These are things I can only learn at home. And this kind of learning is free. It takes place in everyday life, right before the eyes of us. We do not even notice it happening. It’s spontaneous. It is natural.

Mom, the only thing I want to learn is to be happy. That’s the path I need to follow so I can have a good future. Of course, that does not mean that school is not important. I know that my education is very important. But believe me, happiness is my destiny. And my childhood is the way to find it.

I want you to teach me to relax and be calm. I will learn to stand up again and fight when life goes against me. I will learn from my mistakes and try again without fear taking over.

You are the best teacher who helps me through the art of gratitude. And that’s why I want to thank you infinitely for your efforts, your sacrifices and your dedication. You have done it all in the name of motherhood.

You teach me that I can always move on. You show me that I must always give my best in the name of love – unconditional and selfless love.

Mom, the best legacy you can leave behind cannot be bought with money. The best investment we can make is the time we spend together.

What I want to learn from you has nothing to do with English, geography or chemistry. I just want to be a good person. I want to be whole. I want to be happy.
